U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Tucson) released a new television ad addressing the energy crisis on Tuesday titled "Out Here".

"Out here, you can’t rely on anyone but yourself," begins Giffords in the ad. "When it comes to energy, that's what America needs to do."

The ad then highlights Giffords' proposed solution to the energy problem.

"We've got to break the partisan gridlock to lower gas and make us energy independent by increasing the production of American oil, raising gas mileage standards, and eliminating tax breaks for big oil, so that we can speed up alternatives like solar."
