LD updates

UPDATE, 10:30 p.m.: 

Republicans Jerry Weiers and Steve Montenegro have survived the LD12 Republican primary in the House and will move on to the general election.  Robert Blendu came in a close third. 

Thayer Verschoor has held off a late charge by Eddie Farnsworth in the LD22 senate race and will hold onto his seat and will likely have the inside edge to become the next senate president. 

Incumbent Barbara McGuire survived her House primary in LD23 and will be joined in the general election by Ernest Bustamante.  Both defeated Dorian Bond, Krista Pacion and Emily Verdugo-Aldrich in the primary.

Andy Biggs has won the right to defend his seat in the general election in LD22 and will be joined by RepublicanLaurin Hendrix.  They both defeated Adam Armer andBob Brown in today's priamry.   

Republican John McComish has come up 65 votes short of retaining his LD20 House seat.  McComish trailed Frank Schmuck by 65 votes and Jeff Dial lead the way. 

Cecil Ash and Steve Court will be the LD18 Republican House candidates unless a recall is asked for by Ron Middlebrook.  With 100% of the votes in Court only lead Middlebrook by 72 votes. 

Two more incumbents are safe in the  LD16 Democratic House primary.  Cloves Campbell and Ben Mirandadefeated Betty Doss Ware and Jimmie Munoz.

Incumbent Democratic state Representatives Chad Campbell and Robert Meza have easily held off challenger John Valdez

Sam Crump and Carl Seel are on their way to claiming the two Republican seats in the hotly contested LD6 primary.  Democrat turned RepublicanTony Bouie, who was endorsed by many Republican business organizations and Congressman John Shadegg will come in a distant thrid.  

In the LD3 House Republican primary Nancy McLainand Doris Goodale appear to be headed to victory.  In thrid place incumbent Trisha Groe trails Goodall.  Both Groe and McLain are incumbent Representatives. 

In LD2 incumbent House members Tom Chabin andJolene Tom appear to have defeated primary oppnents and will move on. 

In LD22 Verschoor and Farnsworth are in a nail biter. Verschoor leads 5,762 to 5,345 with 81% reporting. 
State Representative Russell Pearce, who has been hammered by outside groups, seems to have weathered the storm and is on his way to victory. Pearce leads Kevin Gibbons by almost 2,500 votes with half the vote in.  

Republican Jack Harper is on his way to an easy win in his primary against John Zerby.  

Steve Piece leading Tom O'Halleran in the LD1 Republican primary. O'Halleran is the incumbent.

About half the results in it's a 3-way race in the Republican race for the LD20 House race where Jeff Dial has a small lead over John McComish and Frank Schmuck. McComish is the incumbent.

In the LD22 Senate race Thayer Verschoor has a small lead over Eddie Farnsworth with about 2/3 the vote in.

In the LD22 House race incumbent Andy Biggs is out front followed by Laurin Hendrix with Bob Brownand Adam Armer trailing.

LD26 House race has Vic Williams out in front ofMarilyn Zerull and Trent Humphries but Pima County has yet to come in.

In the LD26 Senate race we are also waiting for Pima County, but after Pinal Al Melvin is leading Peter Hershberger.
