With half of votes in, McCain leads Obama by 10 in AZ

Though his national defeat seems all but certain according to projections from the major networks, Sen. John McCain is currently on pace to best Sen. Barack Obama in McCain's home state of Arizona.

At 49 percent of votes tabulated by the Arizona Secretary of State's office, McCain had a double-digit lead over his Democratic opponent, attracting 54 percent of the vote to 45.

However, as of 8:45 p.m. Arizona time, none of the networks had called Arizona for either McCain or Obama.
