The mad haters of the Tucson Tea Party will be holding a little soirre Saturday to compare new and creative ways of "how to hate Barack Obama even more!" at Tucson Electric Park. So much hate, so little time. (And a desicration of a cathedral of baseball.)

The teabaggers will not be drinking tea, however, but will be drinking their usual daily dose of Kool-Aid from Faux News (Judge Andrew Napolitano) and right-wing talk radio (Jim Parisi, J.D. Hayworth, James T. Harris). The first step to recovery from an addiction is to admit that you have a problem. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

The health insurance industry lobbyists, right-wing political action committees, and the RNC are orchestrating an Astroturf campaign to disrupt townhall meetings of Democratic members of Congress to create YouTube moments for the easily gullible and incompetent mainstream media to report as public opposition to health care reform. The people who show up at these meetings would have you believe that their agitprop performance art is spontaneous and genuine. Bullshit. In some parts of the country these agitators have been bussed in by their corporate lobbyist sponsors.

I told you earlier this week about the wingnuttia talking point of the week, Obama's greeting of Venezuela strong man Hugo Chavez. "OMG! He shook his hand!" Apparently this is a sign of the pending Apocalypse and the end of the world as we know it.

This wingnuttia talking point advanced by Dr. Newt "The Professor" Gingrich and repeated ad naseum within the wingnuttia mighty Wurlitzer echo chamber of Faux News is that treating our opponents in the world with simple courtesy and a willingness to speak to them face-to-face is a sign of American weakness and threatens our national security.
