Groundhog Day With the Arizona GOP

It doesn't matter what the problem is or what day it is, the GOP answer to every problem at every time seems to be "More tax cuts, please".  When your only tool is a hammer, all the world looks like a nail.

The following is a report from the GOP town hall that took place this past Thurday by Todd Schwarz.  Todd is a representative of SEIU Arizona.

The Republi-con leadership came out of hiding yesterday and saw their shadows so it looks like we're in for two more years of darkness.  What they emerged for was billed by the Maricopa County Republican Party as an Arizona Budget Town Hall.

Here is the third resolution offered by the Maricopa County Republican Committee regarding a commendation of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas:

MCRC RESOLUTION #3
Resolution Commending Sheriff Arpaio and County Attorney Thomas

WHEREAS, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas were overwhelmingly re-elected to their respective offices in which they promised to continue their work to enforce immigration laws; and

WHEREAS, their re-election indicates the sense of voters that it is critical that elected officials enforce our laws; and

WHEREAS, the illegal alien population of Maricopa County is declining; and enforcement is a contributing factor;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Maricopa County Republican Party of the State of Arizona: That we commend Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas for their outstanding efforts to keep their Oaths of Office and honor the Constitutional rights of our citizens.

Haney already campaigning for Maricopa GOP chair

Former Legislative District 11 Republican Chairman Rob Haney is auto-dialing for support in his race to lead the Maricopa County Republican Party. After announcing Saturday that he is seeking to lead the largest of Arizona's county parties, his drive to secure the position is already underway.

Reinhard to support troops by becoming one

As reported by PolitickerAZ.com's Wally Edge earlier, Tony Reinhard, the former spokesman for the Arizona Republican Party who recently moved to the executive director position at the Maricopa County Republican Party, is soon to leave that position as well. His new job: United States Army officer.

Reinhard moves to Maricopa GOP

As of today, Tony Reinhard is the former communications manager for the Arizona Republican Party, and the new executive director of the Maricopa County Republican Party. The move comes after only five months as being spokesman for the Arizona GOP.
