Bitter Smith battles on

Schweikert campaign: 'Our supporters have gotten the same call'

The David Schweikert campaign has confirmed to PolitickerAZ.com that some Schweikert supporters have received "push poll" calls aimed at Schweikert and fellow 5th Congressional District Republican candidate Susan Bitter Smith. The Bitter Smith campaign reported the calls Tuesday. Yet neither campaign can say exactly what was asked.

Official tally for Schweikert

Former Maricopa County Treasurer and State House Majority Leader David Schweikert has released his official tally for the quarter, putting him well ahead of his competition.

Schweikert's official take is $175,360. To date he has raised $681,353 and has $514,092 on hand.

In response to allegations from some that Schweikert took out a second mortgage on his home and added in-kind donations to beef up his totals, Michael Juel, Schweikert's finance director, said via email:
