Arizona: Senate Hearing Room

Earlier this afternoon, Gov. Jan Brewer paid a rare visit to the Senate press room to address her decision to veto most of the 2010 budget.
Reporters meeting with her in Senate Hearing Room 1 asked her about the special session she called for Monday. Specifically, they asked why she believed lawmakers would be any more cooperative on Monday than they had been Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
"Sometimes when you clear the deck, you can start afresh," Brewer said.
Later, she added, "It's a new day. A new beginning."
