Republican U.S. House candidate Doug Ose is out with a new positive-focused television advertisement just days before voters in the Roseville-area District 4 head to the polls.
The 30-second spot, which begins airing district-wide on cable television starting today, features former Governor Pete Wilson offering his praise of Ose, a former U.S. Congressman.
“I looked at Doug Ose as a trusted leader because he has been and will be in the future,” says Wilson, who occupied the state’s top post from 1991-1999. “Those are all good reasons to support Doug Ose. He’s the real deal.”
Wilson has been a centerpiece of Ose’s media rollout in the final days of his primary campaign against state Senator Tom McClintock. Earlier this week the campaign mailed a letter to voters throughout the district from Wilson focusing on the alleged ineffectiveness of McClintock. The campaign also unveiled a 30-second television advertisement featuring Wilson criticizing McClintock.
Ose and McClintock are competing for the seat of retiring U.S. Rep. John Doolittle. The winner of the June 3 Republican primary will face off against Democrat Charlie Brown, a retired Air Force officer who narrowly lost a 2006 bid against Doolittle, in November’s general election.
