DENVER -- Feminist attorney Gloria Allred was denied an opportunity to address the California Democratic Party at its morning breakfast meeting Tuesday, prompting the celebrity lawyer to wrap a red bandana across her face as a gag.
Following the meeting she suggested that the Democratic National Committee was not giving her candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton, fair due during the convention. She called for the DNC to provide a full roll-call vote for the New York senator during tonight's first ballot process.
A least one sympathetic California delegate attended the meeting wearing a gas mask in protest.
CDP Chairman Art Torres acknowledged the longtime Democratic activist but was firm in her not being given time before the delegation.
"Gloria wanted to speak, but ... she's not," Torres said. "Let's give her a round of applause anyway."
