California delegates lend a hand in DNCC's Delegate Service Day

DENVER - As if getting up early for breakfasts and staying up late for post-convention parties wasn't enough, several dozen California Democratic Party delegates hit the streets of Denver Wednesday to help the community.

The Golden State delegates joined with the Democratic National Convention Committee, Democrats Work and Metro Volunteers and Volunteers of America for "Delegate Service Day."

The delegate projects included parks restoration, high school student learning opportunities, clearing overgrown yards, painting or repairing community facilities across the greater Denver area.
