Koretz hires Villaraigosa veteran to run 2009 L.A. City Council campaign

Former Assemblyman Paul Koretz has hired Parke Skelton of SG&A Campaigns to direct his campaign for the District 5 seat on the Los Angeles City Council, according to the Daily News.
 
Skelton is a veteran of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's 2005 campaign currently manages Hannah-Beth Jackson's bid for the 19th state Senate District. He will serve as overall consultant for Koretz's campaign. Koretz has also hired Nancy Dolan, of Nancy Dolan & Associates, to head his fundraising efforts.
 
The 5th District seat is currently occupied by Councilman Jack Weiss, who is running for City Attorney. Other contenders include Robyn Ritter Simon, former Weiss deputy Adeena Bleich, Neighborhood Council member Ron Galperin, retired agent Robert Schwartz, and community activist David Vahedi.
 
The primary elections will be held March 3.
