Democrat Assembly hopeful Alyson Huber will rally with a number of officeholders from the party Saturday, in hopes of drumming up more support for her to win the 10th Assembly District.

In addition to Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles), Huber will be joined at the morning rally by Assemblywoman and state Senate hopeful Lois Wolk (D-Davis), Assemblyman Dave Jones (D-Sacramento) and Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani (D-Livingston).

Also attending will be Democratic Assembly candidate Mariko Yamada from Davis, Democratic congressional candidate Bill Durston from Gold River, and city officials from Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove.

The rally, which will begin at Huber's Fair Oaks campaign headquarters, will be followed by precinct walking in the area.

The 10th Assembly District race pits Huber, an attorney from El Dorado Hills, against Lodi businessman and former county supervisor Jack Sieglock, a Republican.

The district's profile has risen recently for both parties, with Democrats increasingly trying to take it out of Republican hands and the GOP donating to Sieglock's campaign to keep the seat.

Current 10th District Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi (R-Lodi) is termed out this year.
