Campaigns expect huge turnout in CA-50

With clouds giving way to sunshine, the campaigns in California's 50th Congressional District are expecting huge turnout throughout the San Diego suburbs.

Kurt Bardella, campaign manager for Congressman Brian Bilbray (R-Carlsbad), said the campaign isn't counting on any particular part of the district to carry them to victory.

"We want votes throughout the 50th," Bardella said.

Democratic challenger Nick Leibham is counting on substantial support from the coastal cities, according to campaign manager Alec Evans.

"We'll do very well along the coast," Evans said. "I think we're looking for turnout to be as big as possible and Democrats in general to be as excited as possible. I think a high turnout means people are excited about Obama."
