Baca hopes for more Latinos in Obama's cabinet

U.S. Rep. Joe Baca (D-Rialto) is hoping President-elect Barack Obama adds more Latinos to his cabinet in addition to New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who will serve as Sec. of Commerce.

"We'd definitely be disappointed" if Richardson were the lone Latino in Obama's Cabinet, Baca told Bloomberg News.

He added, "if it's just one, he's going to have to answer to a lot of issues that come before us."

In addition to appointing Richardson, Obama has reportedly offered California Congressman Xavier Becerra (D-Los Angeles) the job of U.S. Trade Representative.
