SF supervisor borrows line from Nicholson movie to tell newspaper columnist to buzz off

SAN FRANCISCO - In what has to be one of the oddest e-mail exchanges between a journalist and an elected official, San Francisco Supervisor Chris Daly borrowed a line from a funny Jack Nicholson movie to tell San Francisco Chronicle columnist C.W. (Chuck) Nevius to get lost.

The fun started around noon last Friday when Nevius sent this strange e-mail to Daly.

Daly lashes into Newsom over drug court ballot initiative

This week Newsom filed paperwork to place a ballot measure on the November ballot to create a "Community Justice Court" modeled like one in New York City to deal with small scale drug offenses, petty theft and disorderly conduct.
