Brown releases list of endorsements from CA-04 elected officials

Charlie Brown's 4th Congressional District campaign released a lengthy list of endorsements Thursday from elected officials - Democrats, Republicans and some registered as decline-to-state - across the northeastern California district.

The list included the mayors of Oroville and Grass Valley and supervisors from Butte, El Dorado, Lassen, Plumas, Sacramento and Sierra counties.

Brown campaign says McClintock mailer is full of inaccuracies

Tom McClintock this week, saying a campaign mailer McClintock sent to 4th Congressional District voters is "rife with fabrications."

Brown campaign manager Todd Stenhouse said the mailer, which compares McClintock's (R-Thousand Oaks) stances on issues to Roseville Democrat Brown's, is incorrect in several instances.

McClintock starts up general election ad campaign

Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks), the conservative firebrand state senator who is seeking a seat in the U.S. House, is set to launch his first radio advertisement of the general election campaign.

"Liberals like Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Brown want to continue supporting federal laws that prevents us from tapping America's vast oil resources. Brown attacks McClintock for campaign filing

Congressional candidate Charlie Brown leveled new criticism at opponent state Sen. Tom McClintock Wednesday, saying the Thousand Oaks Republican was running for the 4th Congressional District seat against Brown while also raising campaign cash for 2010 races in other seats.

Brown, a Roseville Democrat, pointed to a filing McClintock made Monday with the California Secretary of State's office for an account titled, "McClintock Committee 2010."

Doolittle to campaign for McClintock

John Doolittle, the retiring congressman who is under investigation for his ties to jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff, appears likely to campaign for state Sen. Tom McClintock, the Republican nominee for Doolittle’s Roseville-area seat.

“We’re talking about doing a couple of events and we’re putting them together,” said Doolittle spokesman Dan Blankeburg. Blankeburg declined to provide any further details, adding that the two sides had only talked in what he called “conceptual terms.”
