Arnold begs, in Churches, for Higher Taxes for the Poor

A grown man should not be begging in a Church.  Especially when he is begging for the congregants to tax themselves into the poor house and out of their jobs.

Note he only went to black churches, as if black people are not smart enough to understand the financial implications of his ballot measures.  We all know that on the Sunday before the election you will find Feinstein, Boxer, Brown and Democrat candidates at black churches--never white one's--what is that about?

The good news is that none of the measures will pass (1F is a throw away having no meaning whatsoever).  All Californians, regardless of color will vote against them.  We are all losers if they pass, and everyone knows Sacramento refuses to cut the budget--so, we have to do it for them.

Shame on the Governor begging black folks to become poor.

Feinstein Works Hard to Stop Solar Energy

California needs more energy, quickly.  The Left will not allow drilling for oil off the Santa Barbara coast.  They will not allow nuclear power.  Windmills "kill" to many birds--juts ask Ted Kennedy why he will not allow windmills in Hyannis Port.

Now Senator Dianne Feinstein, who demands the end of oil, will not allow the creation of vast solar panel farms in the Mojave Desert, where only Google can see them.

While she and her husband are making hundreds of millions from enterprises in China, the worst pollutant on earth, Feinstein wants to bankrupt California by not allowing the creation of solar farms in our desert.

Feinstein Wants Oil Independence--But No Alternative Energy

One thing you can be sure of, liberals are hypocrites.

The Kennedys demand no more oil--but oppose windmills in Hyannis Port.  Dianne Feinstein, whose husband makes billions of dollars in pollution creating China, demands we stop using oil--but refuses to allow solar panels in the desert.

"Feinstein disputed that she is engaged in a not-in-my-backyard campaign.

Irresponsible greens: Feinstein throws up huge roadblock to solar power

It's maddening enough that the green movement in the U.S. (but not in Europe) still treats nuclear power as a bogeyman when nuclear power obviously should be part of any big shift in energy sources to combat climate change. But...

Caption Contest: We have a winner!

Yes, it's been a while, but we finally have a caption contest winner.

Michael Genest, yes that Michael Genest, is the winner of our latest caption contest, and not just because we think he deserves some free coffee after more than a year navigating California's worst-ever budget mess.

Congratulations to Mike, who will receive a $25 Starbucks gift card.

Here's his take on the grip-and-grin between Sen. Dianne Feinstein and new CIA Director Leon Panetta at the latter's Senate confirmation hearing.

You'll recall that Feinstein was the first to throw cold water on Panetta's nomination after President Barack Obama tapped the former California congressman for the post.

Did DiFi just Release State Secrets?

Working with Pakistan is always a daunting proposition, so it seems within reason that we might want to let them keep some of our relationship secret.  And vice versa.  But, the Chair of the Intelligence Committee, our very own Sen. Dianne Feinstein, might have just put the Pakistani government in some very hot water with their populace:
A senior U.S. lawmaker said Thursday that unmanned CIA Predator aircraft operating in Pakistan are flown from an air base in that country, a revelation likely to embarrass the Pakistani government and complicate its counter-terrorism collaboration with the United States.

The disclosure by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.

DiFi Tries To Hand Corporations A Giveaway In The Stimulus

The final numbers on the stimulus package are trickling out.  Some of the baseline investments are here:

* Investments in Infrastructure and Science - $120 billion
* Investments in Health - $14.2 billion
* Investments in Education and Training - $105.9 billion
* Investments in Energy, including over $30 billion in infrastructure - $37.5 billion
* Helping Americans Hit Hardest by the Economic Crisis - $24.3 billion
* Law Enforcement, Oversight, Other Programs - $7.8 billion

It's unquestionable that the conference report is worse than the House bill but better than the Senate.  It costs less than the Senate bill while providing more stimulus.  Some bad spending like

Senators Feinstein and Boxer Should Fight to Improve the Child Tax Credit Provision in the Stimulus

Nancy Berlin is the Director of the California Partnership

With thousands of Californians losing their jobs monthly, families need help bridging the ever widening gap between their incomes and their monthly expenses.  The families I work with do essential work--they take care of children, they work in hospitals, and they take care of the elderly.  They benefit our community greatly--but many of them haven't been able to take advantage of the Child Tax Credit due to the minimum income threshold of $8,500.  Senators Boxer and Feinstein have an opportunity to change this by using their influence with Congressional leadership and the White House to push for the House version of the Child Tax Credit provision in the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Caption contest: Feinstein and Panetta's grip-and-grin

What exactly was going through the minds of Sen. Dianne Feinstein and CIA director nominee Leon Panetta and as they shook hands this week at his confirmation hearing?

We want you to write a funny caption for the photo.

Feinstein, you might remember, was the first to throw cold water on Panetta's nomination after President Barack Obama tapped the former California congressman for the post.

"I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA Director. I know nothing about this, other than what I've read," said Feinstein, who chairs the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, in a statement. "My position has consistently been that I believe the Agency is best-served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time.
