Feedback Friday

"That is a shame. We need more than yard signs, post cards and websites to base our decision on in this race. I would appreciate some debate in order to decide on the best candidate?"

- Posted by I want to see a debate in response to our story "Lamborn turns down Rayburn debate proposal."

Dear I want,

We think you are seeing more than just websites and postcards. Even Lamborn's friends in Colorado are starting to avoid him. How a candidate runs a campaign is a good indication of how he's going to serve in office. Certainly in Lamborn's case it's held true.

"When is Jared going to put an end to it? Has anyone seen poll numbers??"

- Posted by JTY in response to our story "Jared Polis: Powerful or Pitiful?"

Dear JTY,

We haven't seen any polls in the race, but ColoradoPols which is generally reliable in matters concerning Democrats has it's Big Line on the CO-2 race as FitzGerald 3-1, Shafroth 6-1, Polis 6-1. We think that FitzGerald's numbers are way low, Shafroth's numbers a little low and Polis' a little high. 6-1 is about a 17 percent chance to win. We'd put it more like 10-1 for Polis.

By the way, that's one of the issues we have with the way Pols does its Big Line. If this were a Vegas line and we put a dollar down on each of the candidates, we'd at least come out even no matter the result in that race.

In the Senate race, for example, they have 3-1 odds on Udall and 7-1 on Schaffer. Statistically they are saying that it's improbable that either candidate will win.

We're not trying to "dis" Pols, we're just saying that we hope they open a Sports Book soon.

"Although she's now term-limited, I'd have to put Sue Windels towards the top of the list. She is a brilliant tactician/politician."

-Posted by Jeffco Independent in response to our story "Colorado's smartest legislator tournament."

Dear Jeffco Independent,

If she were so brilliant she would have made it into our tournament without having to pose as "Jeffco Independent."

We regret the slight. If she ever holds office again and has the ability to demonstrate her brilliancy and tacticianess, please have her apply to us for some of our other contests providing she has no relatives employed by PolitickerCO, its affiliates, advertisers, marketing agents, business partners, detractors, or by any organization that promotes the use of cows or rodeos during the Democratic National Convention.

"Who cares? This is probably the most boring and meaningless lists of this sort compiled this year."

-Posted by Ernest in response to our story "The Top Ten Power Positions in Colorado."

Dear Ernest,

We'll take the criticism to heart and try to do better in the future. Really.

We don't know why you think we're kidding.

We honestly, truly value your input.

We're even "Ernest" about it.

Seriously.

Ha ha ha.

Have a great weekend kids and call your fathers, if you know who they are.

We'll see you on Monday.
