Wadhams: Biden 'better than any Republican' at attacking Obama

Asked what he thought of Barack Obama being set to announce U.S. Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) as his running mate, Colorado Republican Party Chair Dick Wadhams -- like many other Republicans -- pointed out Biden's previous statements against Obama made during the presidential campaign earlier this year.

"I think the Democrats are going to have a lot of explaining to do about Biden's very intense criticism of Barack Obama's inexperience in foreign policy and his sharp criticism of Obama's positions in Iraq and meeting with foreign dictators," Wadhams told PolitickerCO.com Saturday morning. "And there's a lot on record: Biden couldn't have said it better than any Republican about Obama's inexperience."

But Wadhams said he didn't think the pick would affect Colorado races at all -- such as the heated U.S. Senate, in which Wadhams is manager for Republican nominee Bob Schaffer.

"I think ultimately the choice at the presidential level is between Senator McCain and Barack Obama," Wadhams said. "Senator McCain's going to carry Colorado, and that helps Bob Schaffer to defeat Boulder Liberal Udall."
