Washington Post says CO-4 is the 8th most likely district to switch parties

The 4th Congressional District race has moved up to become the eighth-most likely U.S. House seat to change parties next year, according to The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza.

Incumbent U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Fort Morgan) "barely squeaked by a below-average challenger in 2006 but the combination of a terrible environment for GOPers in Colorado and a well-funded and aggressive campaign by Democrat Betsy Markey is likely to end Musgrave's congressional career in four days time," Cillizza wrote.

Several other political handicappers, including Politicker's Pindell Report, the Rothenberg Report, and CQ Politics, say the race leans towards Markey. The Cook Political Report rates the race a toss-up.
