Pindell Report releases final Election Day predictions

The Pindell Report, Politicker.com's political and campaign forecast, has released its final projections for Election Day. Using polling, historical and demographic trends, tracking campaign visits and spending, The Pindell Report ranks races in terms of their competitiveness and their status as either a toss-up or leaning or likely voting in a particular way.

Pindell Report: Colorado to lead national Democratic wave

Coloradans take the stage at DNC tonight

At least six Coloradans are scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention this evening on the final day of the convention.

Obama's Colorado state director Ray Rivera is scheduled to make remarks twice -- once during the 3 to 5 p.m. time slot and again between 5 and 6 p.m. (MST).

Also speaking between 3 and 5 p.m.: Gov. Bill Ritter (D), U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Wheat Ridge), U.S. Rep. John Salazar (D-Manassa), and U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Denver).

Today's convention schedule

The fourth and final day of the Democratic National Convention will be called to order at 5:00 PM EST on Thursday, with a theme of "Change You Can Believe In."

The final day's events will take place at INVESCO Field at Mile High, where over 70,000 people are expected to attend.

Salazar to second Obama's nomination

U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.) will be one of three Democrats to second the presidential nomination of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) at the Democratic National Convention Thursday, the event's organizers said today.

Salazar will second the nomination along with U.S. Reps. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.) and Artur Davis (D-Ala.), after Iraq War veteran Michael Wilson formally nominates the Illinois senator, the DNC said in a release Wednesday.

Today's convention schedule

The third day of the Democratic National Convention will be called to order at 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday, with a theme of "Securing America's Future."

The day will begin with the nominating process for President, including nominating speeches for U.S. Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.), followed by a roll call vote.

The headline speaker will be vice presidential nominee, U.S. Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.).
