Brad Jones edges into the Colorado Independent's domain

Some Web surfers looking for the Colorado Independent's website might end up at the left-leaning news Web site's ideological rival instead.

Brad Jones, the editor of the conservative news website Face The State, told media critic Jason Salzman on Tuesday that he's the owner of ColoradoIndependent.org - a URL oddly similar to the Colorado Independent's domain name, ColoradoIndependent.com.

Visitors to ColoradoIndependent.org are re-routed to FaceTheState.com.

To Republican Forum, Future Looks Blue

But at a Wednesday night panel discussion in downtown Denver focusing on the future of the GOP in the West, conservatives sounded about as cheery about the future as a group of Democrats the day after the 2004 presidential election.
