Boise Mayor Dave Bieter cast the deciding vote to pass a resolution supporting the President's health care reform package--including the need for a public option.
As I predicted, Boise Councilors Eberle, Clegg and Jordan voted for the resolution. Tibbs, Bisterfeldt and Shealy voted against. Bieter broke the 3-3 tie in favor of the measure.
It may be a non-binding resolution, but I'm glad at least 4 elected officials in Idaho had the balls to stand up for real health care reform, rather than just sucking up to the teabaggers.
I'll post some links when I find them.
