Mongiardo spouts Republican talking points on the public option

We all know that Dan Mongiardo has been repeating false Republican talking points against Obama's clean energy bill this week, but now it appears that he is going to do the exact same thing with Obama's health care reform.

Jim Pence asked Dan Mongiardo about how he would feel about a single payer public option being included to health care reform, and what word did Mongiardo emphasize in his response? The same word that every Republican and Fox News commentator has been using for weeks now, and will continue to use over the next month.

"RATIONING"

That's right folks, Dan Mongiardo is against a public option because we'll have to start "rationing" health care.

SchadenfRomance: Mark Sanford = Michael Bolton?

Gov. Mark Sanford is one romantic mofo! I don't see how his wife could not come running back to him after this sweet soliloquy:

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford said Tuesday that he "crossed lines" with a handful of women other than his mistress — but never had sex with them. The governor said he "never crossed the ultimate line" with anyone but Maria Belen Chapur, the Argentine at the center of a scandal that has derailed his once-promising political career. [...]

During an emotional interview at his Statehouse office with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Sanford said Chapur is his soul mate but he's trying to fall back in love with his wife.

There's only one man who can match both the burning genital passion and the top-notch douchebaggery of Mark Sanford:

Does Lt. Dan not understand the irony?

Per his latest campaign tweet, Lt. Dan is excited that Minnesota finally has its second senator in Al Franken.
I can't help but wonder why Lt. Dan is so excited, considering he has more in common with Norm Coleman than Al Franken. In the 2008 campaign, Al Franken made supporting a renewable energy future for America a priority, and will provide the crucial 60th Democrat in the Senate in order to bring forth a vote on cap-and-trade. Lt. Dan, for what it's worth, wouldn't be voting for cap-and-trade were he in the Senate today.

Al Franken campaigned in favor of the rights of workers to unionize without interference from corporate bosses.
