Michelle Obama, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), will visit Kentucky at some point next week, according to Obama's Kentucky campaign.
Michelle Obama was last in the state last May on behalf of her husband's campaign.
"We are thrilled Michelle will be coming back to the state to give Kentucky voters a chance to learn more about Senator Obama's long history of fighting for hard working Americans. Michelle and Barack Obama understand that people in Kentucky are working harder for less, and they know how important it is to send someone to the White House who can deliver on the real, lasting change we need in Washington," said the campaign's Kentucky director, Carolyn Tandy in a statement dispatched today.
Details on the visit are scant, but the campaign says Mrs. Obama will be in the Commonwealth prior to Tuesday's primary.
