Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford will spend part of his campaign schedule tomorrow shadowing a high school custodian in Louisville as part of the Service Employees International Union “Walk a Day in My Shoes” program.

Lunsford will appear with Butler High School employee and SEIU member Zina Stanley tomorrow at her workplace. Stanley is a nineteen year employee of the school.

A release from the Lunsford camp says the candidate will work into the afternoon with Stanley and break for lunch with her and her daughter.

The SEIU describes its program as an effort to get candidates “to experience firsthand what it’s like to work and raise a family in America.” Among those who previously participate in a workday through the program are presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) as well as Democratic Senators Joe Biden (D-Del.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), and Christopher Dodd (D-Ct.).

Lunsford has previously participated in a series of similar appearances around the state as part of his “On the Job” campaign tour. In the most recent of those events, he has pumped gas at four gas stations across the state to highlight the impact of high gas prices.
