In the final weeks of the rematch between U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Louisville) and former U.S. Rep. Anne Northup (R-Louisville), the candidates are scheduled to meet for four debates in the 3rd Congressional District.

The first meeting between the two candidates is set for Oct. 10, when Northup and Yarmuth will meet for the Louisville Forum's lunch-hour debate at Vincenzo's restaurant in downtown Louisville. That event begins at 12pm and those looking to attend must reserve their spot with the Louisville Forum.

Northup, Yarmuth, and 3rd Congressional District candidate Ed Martin are confirmed for the Kentucky Educational Television debate, set for Oct. 20. That debate will be televized statewide from KET's Louisville studios. A spokesperson from KET noted that Yarmuth's confirmation was pending "format approval," but Yarmuth's camp confirmed the KET debate was one its candidate would participate in.

The League of Women Voters are hosting an evening forum on Oct. 21 at the Greater Louisville Medical Society building in Louisville. The event is sponsored by an array of organizations including WLKY-TV.

Northup and Yarmuth are both confirmed for the event, which is open to the public, and an organizer of the event said she was hopeful Martin's attendance could be arranged.

Attendees to the LWV are requested to arrive at 6pm ET for the event scheduled to kick-off at 6:30pm.

The final scheduled debate confirmed thus far in KY-3 will be the Rotary Club's lunch-time forum on Oct. 23. The event is closed to the public.

William Schuetze, the debate's organizer from the Rotary Club, also said his organization scheduled a forum for candidates for the state's U.S. Senate race for Oct. 30. Democratic candidate Bruce Lunsford (D-Louisville) added that event to his own schedule, but incumbent U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) has not announced his intention to attend.

Schuetze said the Senate debate would go on, however, regardless of who attended.
