Ten Kentuckians give to Obama transition team

Among the 1,776 donors who contributed to President-elect Barack Obama's transition team are ten Kentucky residents - one of whom gave the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Kentuckians donated a total of $7,350 of the more than $1.1 million total contributed to Obama's transition project, according to a list released by the transition team and posted on its website.  $5,000 of that, however, came from one long-time Obama supporter - Louisville businessman Matthew Barzun.

DENVER – Appearing at his first state delegation breakfast of the convention, Governor Steve Beshear (D-Lexington) addressed the crowd this morning in Denver. He was part of a line-up that included former state party chair Terry McBrayer and presumptive presidential nominee Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) environmental advisor, professor Dan Esty.
