Kentucky: Bill Clinton

Let the KY Republican pie fight commence

Grab the popcorn, kiddies.

Trey Grayson fans call Rand Paul kooky, claim he supports legalizing heroin, cocaine and child porn, and doing away with the tyrannical oppression of Amber Alerts and the FDA (Paul is objectively pro-diarrhea, fyi)

White Male Liberty Patriots jump in the comments, ranting about Grayson's Bill Clinton love and him maintaining Obama's tyranny agenda.

Crazy feathers fly.

7 more months of this fun, to come.

PS: only one thing could make this more fun. A third pie thrower.

We Sent Bill Clinton To Pick Up Two Chicks?

Kim Jong Il is a terrorist.  Terrorists want attention.  So his minions kidnapped two female journalists and held them hostage.  Oh sure they called it an arrest followed by jail, but that was all BS.

So how did we react?  To the family of the girls, exactly as we should.  We gave the terrorist little fool just what he wanted, a photo op with Bill Clinton in exchange for the girls.

But to the parents of boys and girls killed in battles around the world fighting terrorism, this move was a sign of weakness.  Could America stomach seeing these girls imprisoned, murdered or even mutilated when the cost of their release was seemingly so small?  Likely not.

Haley Barbour: Obama Will Be Good For The GOP

Former Republican National Committee chairman Haley Barbour says that Obama's far left agenda will eventually put the GOP back in power, much like Bill Clinton did, according to a piece in today's Politico.

While some of his logic does make sense nevertheless the amount of harm Obama might do to the country before we can grab hold of the reins might still leave lasting scars.

Even if, as Barbour suggests, the GOP will grow stronger because of Obama, it is far better to grab the reins of a runaway stagecoach sooner rather than later and as it goes, 2010 is as soon as it gets.

When Demonization Fails

For 30 years, Democrats were at the mercy of GOP demonization. Even when dems didn't literally faint and cower in a corner, whimpering, whenever repugs called them liberals, the effect was the same.

Democrats lost the White House, the Senate, the House, the states to repugs who couldn't recognize a Constitutional principle or articulate a rational policy to save their lives.

Even Bill Clinton survived only because he pacified the repugs by sacrificing the middle class to the piranhas of Wall Street.

Yes, Barack Obama was a once-in-a-century candidate, but the repugs are caught in feedback loop of self-destruction because they finally took demonization too far.

100 days in, teabaggers lack mouths

Yes, they lack many vocal supporters. Get your mind out of the gutter, David Adams. The teabagging revolution = EPIC FAIL. Americans like Obama and trust him, in big numbers.
As his 100th day approaches, more than two in three Americans approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as president, a new CBS News/New York Times survey finds.

****

Mr. Obama's 68 percent approval rating at the 100 day mark is better than the ratings of his two immediate predecessors, George W. Bush (whose approval at this point was 56 percent) and Bill Clinton (whose approval was 49 percent). Going back to 1953, only two presidents - John F.

Clinton wrap-up: Dems pile on McConnell, recorder from incident was 'bug'

BOWLING GREEN - The local Democratic ticket was pushed heavily in Bowling Green today on the occasion of former President Bill Clinton's visit. A handful of high-profile Democrats took the stage in addition to Clinton, talking up the candidacy of Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford (D-Louisville) and 2nd Congressional District candidate and state Sen. David Boswell (D-Owensboro) in particular to the hundreds of attendees in an airplane hanger at the Bowling Green-Warren County Airport.

Clinton says Lunsford's election could contribute to stopping GOP filibusters

BOWLING GREEN - Former President Bill Clinton took to the trail on behalf of Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford (D-Louisville) today, arguing that electing Lunsford over U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) would contribute to preventing filibusters in the Senate if Congress and the White House end up under Democratic control.

"If he wins this race, you can change not only Kentucky, but you can change whether the national government works for the middle class all over this country," said Clinton in Bowling Green.
