Mitch and Trey make a deal?

The pure entertainment over in the Republican Senate primary of Kentucky just got even more fun. In the aftermath of the interesting meeting uncovered between Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, comes this juicy paragraph from a Wall Street Journal story about the rift in the Republican Party between the Teabaggers and Republican leadership (i.e. Mitch McConnell, because he's such a Commie happily riding on the Obama Train to tyranny) :
Mr. Grayson said he was confident that primary voters in Kentucky know him as a "true conservative." He said he speaks regularly with Mr. McConnell, but that he is not shy about criticizing him, particularly on the financial system bailout.

Seeya, Lou Dobbs

Lou Dobbs abruptly resigned from CNN tonight.

He told viewers that he wanted to spend more time with Orly Taitz guarding the Kenyan border.

On a completely unrelated note, Fox News announced that it is developing a new show called the White Male Liberty Patriot Hour. Details to come...

First they came for Fox News, and I said nothing....

Teabagging the Capitol

I was able to catch the tail end of the Glenn Beck 9/12 Teabagging Rally this Saturday in DC, but this video pretty much sums it up:

Here are some pictures I took as White Liberty Patriots of Freedom exited the Mall:

Yes, you're reading that correctly: Mississippi Freedom Riders. You know, the Real American White kind

The Teabaggers couldn't wait to go into the Socialist Smithsonian Museums

A LOT of Joe Wilson fans there

Zombie Reagan 2012!

Groupies swarming the Fox News van

Injun? WTF?

The Fun Bus!

Beck 4 Prez!

AARP stands for the American Agitators of Red Propaganda!

Our Kommie Kenyan Overlord! Go get 'em Orly!

54%?

Roads, Firemen and Military = SLAVERY!

Indiana and Iowa beg to differ

And we end on some lovely racism, which this was all about, of course

This is a perfect example of what Fox News is all about

They are nothing but filthy, shameless, dishonest propagandists. And this clip sums up what they do every day. The first clip from CNN is what actually happened. Next, see how Fox News completely rewrites the script.

This is Fox News. A bad joke, that sticks up for someone calling Obama Hitler. Pathetic.

Mongiardo spouts Republican talking points on the public option

We all know that Dan Mongiardo has been repeating false Republican talking points against Obama's clean energy bill this week, but now it appears that he is going to do the exact same thing with Obama's health care reform.

Jim Pence asked Dan Mongiardo about how he would feel about a single payer public option being included to health care reform, and what word did Mongiardo emphasize in his response? The same word that every Republican and Fox News commentator has been using for weeks now, and will continue to use over the next month.

"RATIONING"

That's right folks, Dan Mongiardo is against a public option because we'll have to start "rationing" health care.

Dan Mongiardo sides with King Coal and the Republican Party on Cap and Trade

If Dan Mongiardo gets into the United States Senate, he will be Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman on steroids, trying to kneecap Democrats and Barack Obama on every issue imaginable. Complete with coal stains.

Further proof that King Coal is buying him off? Check out his statement against America's last best hope at energy independence and preventing climate change:
Mongiardo Takes Strong Stand Against ‘Cap-and-Trade’

FRANKFORT – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Daniel Mongiardo announced his opposition today to the “Cap-and-Trade” provisions of H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.

Citing the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Mongiardo said the bill would dramatically increase electric rates in Kentucky on working families and businesses over the next ten years.

Avenging Amanda Terkel

My pal Adam Green decided to turn the tables on a Fox News reporter. Hilarity ensues.

My favorite part is where Mr. Fox News whines that not letting a hyper-partisan right-wing propaganda machine in to film is a violation of the 1st amendment. Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't know what that means....

No Internets in the Hills, So Here Goes

Jake’s still off in the land of no Internets. Really. There are places, right here in the Bluegrass State, where it’s not possible to reel in an online connection.
So here’s some stuff that’s going on while he’s gone…

Major props to Shepherd Smith

First he mocks Glenn Beck, then..... he does one of the greatest things I've ever seen on live television. I need a fainting couch, not because of the F-bomb, but because it was just that awesome to see that happen on Fox News.

I'm thinking (1) this will be the last straw for Roger Ailes, and (2) he won't have trouble finding a new job.
