Kentucky: Howard Dean

Wake up Kentucky: we need a public option

Our health care system is a horrible joke, and despite the fact that Barack Obama is ready to take us a step towards sanity with real health care reform (which 80% of the public supports), some within the Democratic Party are trying to cut him at the knees before it even begins. We NEED a public option, or else whatever reform we get is going to be a worthless failure.

What can Kentuckians do? Well, our 6 Republican representatives aren’t worth spit, so don’t waste your time with them. But Congressmen John Yarmuth and Ben Chandler can play a big role, and they need to hear from you.

Howard Dean for Health and Human Services

Now that Tom Daschle has dropped out of the running for the Health and Human Services position, in my opinion the next choice should be a no-brainer. Howard Dean is a Physician, as is his wife. Howard Dean has been an effective leader of our party, using his 50-state strategy at the DNC to help propel our huge victory last year when Blue-Dogs such as Rahm Emanuel called for his head on a platter.
This position is perfect for Howard Dean. The never-ending parade of Blue-Dogs, and even REPUBLICANS that are taking over in this new Administration we all fought so hard for are quite frankly starting to make me sick at my stomach.
