Moore says leaving KDP chair is ‘personal decision’

Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Jennifer Moore says there was no pressure on her to leave her chair position at the Kentucky Democratic Party and that her plan to step down was a "personal decision."

In an interview with PolitickerKY.com, Moore noted that she expects to give Gov. Steve Beshear (D-Lexington) input on choosing her successor and she would not close the door on a future run for public office.

State Party chairs look toward 2009, prep for Bunning race

Transition: Considering Kentucky’s U.S. Attorneys

It is standard practice for new presidential administrations to fill U.S. Attorney positions around the country with supporters of their party. The trend was seen under the George W. Bush administration and speculation is  that it will continue under President-elect Barack Obama.

 The likely change will affect the individuals holding Kentucky's two U.S. Attorney positions, both of whom came to power under the Bush administration.

 One of the questions that remains, however, concerns who will fill their posts.
