Loans, self-financing, and Streisand: The last month of fundraising in the 2008 Senate race

McConnell gets fundraising help in New Jersey

Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) got some fundraising help at a reception hosted by the Republican leader of the New Jersey state Senate, Tom Kean Jr.

The Sunday fundraiser was the second hosted by Kean for McConnell this election cycle.

Lunsford campaign launches full-fledged assault on Fischer's attack ad

The campaign of Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford has launched major defensive maneuvers to counteract the attack ad launched against their candidate late last week by opponent Greg Fischer.

A letter from the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young written on behalf of "Friends of Bruce Lunsford" was fired off to every television station airing Fischer's 30-second attack ad today.

Former Governor Brown pens criticism of Fischer attack ad

Former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown (D-Lexington) denounced a recent attack ad by Senate candidate Greg Fischer as "character assassination" in a letter circulated by the campaign of candidate Bruce Lunsford this weekend.
