Davis joins Bush for West Point visit

West Point graduate and U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Hebron) accompanied President Bush and U.S. Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.) on Air Force One yesterday for a visit to his alma mater.

"It's my honor to let them fly on the ‘big bird,'" Bush said of the two alumni, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The three flew to the New York-based military academy where Bush addressed about 1,100 senior cadets.

KY-4: Davis' second spot focuses on manufacturing jobs

The campaign of U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ft. Mitchell) hit district-wide television in recent days with an ad in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District race.

The ad focuses on a testimonial from Rick Jordan, the Vice President of Erlanger's LSI Graphic Solutions company and a board member for the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers.

"When I sat down and I talked to Geoff Davis, He was the first person I talked to that really understood the manufacturing issues," says Jordan in the spot.

KY-4: Davis campaign launches website targeting Kelley's 'credibility'

The campaign of U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ft. Mitchell) has taken its charges against its opponent, physician Michael Kelley (D-Lagrange), and thrown them on a multimedia website.

Therealmichaelkelley.com looks to be an effort to push the Davis camp's argument that Kelley should not be considered a "serious candidate."

Kelley hammers an absent Davis in KET forum

KY-4: Kelley objects after Davis declines to debate

U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ft. Mitchell) will not be debating his opponent, Lagrange physician Michael Kelley, this election cycle, as the race for the 4th Congressional District seat enters its final weeks.

Davis’ campaign attributed its decision to what it described as the differing character of the two campaigns involved.

Davis hits the air in KY-4

The campaign of U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ft. Mitchell) says it is hitting "district-wide cable" with a new ad, amid efforts to get Davis re-elected to a third-term.

The ad, which comes from the relatively quiet 4th Congressional District race, tries to paint Davis as unique among Washington politicians.

"In a city filled with career politicians, Geoff Davis is different," says the narrator of the thirty-second spot.

The narrator then refers to Davis' military history and background in manufacturing.

Kelley sees positive side of KY-4 poll, while Davis 'will take nothing for granted'

In a late-June SurveyUSA poll, incumbent U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ft. Mitchell) was shown leading his Democratic opponent, physician Michael Kelley of Lagrange, 54 to 41 percent among 550 likely voters.
