Denouncing LCV move, Northup says she 'would do the most' on environment

Senate debate on climate change touches both sides of KY race

Pending legislation on climate change currently being considered before the U.S. Senate, is impacting all sides of Kentucky's own Senate contest, with Senator Mitch McConnell challenging his opponent on the issue, while the incumbent faces attacks for his own efforts to quell the bill's progress - which include a required public reading of hundreds of pages of legislation.

LCV names McConnell 'Don of the Dirty Dozen'

This week, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) added Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) to its "Dirty Dozen" list, after an online vote of LCV members selected the four-term incumbent as the "most egregious" offender of the environment.

A statement released by the LCV noted McConnell accumulated a lifetime 7 percent approval score from their organization.
