LOUISVILLE - 6th District Congressman Ben Chandler (D-Versailles) officially announced his support of the Presidential campaign of Illinois Senator Barack Obama today at a press conference in downtown Louisville. Chandler becomes the second of Kentucky's eight superdelegates to endorse Obama, joining 3rd District Congressman John Yarmuth - who appeared with Chandler at today's event.

Clinton camp brings in Tubbs Jones, expands to Pikeville

Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio) will appear in Louisville on Saturday to campaign for Presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton (D-New York).

Tubbs Jones will appear at the state Clinton campaign headquarters located at 1357 Bardstown Road at 7pm Saturday night. According to the Clinton campaign, she will meet with Clinton supporters and "undecided women voters."

The visit by a campaign surrogate is the latest sign the Clinton campaign is looking forward to the May 20 Kentucky primary.

Obama campaign to Burch: 'Ridiculous'

A spokesperson from the campaign of Senator Barack Obama responded concisely this evening to comments by State Representative Thomas Burch (D-Louisville).

During the Wednesday grand opening of Hillary Clinton campaign headquarters in Louisville, Burch - a Jefferson County co-Chair for the campaign - suggested donations from Obama to 3rd District Congressman John Yarmuth (D-Louisville) may have encouraged Yarmuth's endorsement of the Illinois Senator.
