Dudley Webb's ego double downs on the hoodwinks

In response to Business Lexington publishing Rob Morris's thorough destruction of failed businessman Dudley Webb's pathetic excuses for the colossal CentrePointe failure, Dudley Webb's ego decided to threaten Smiley Pete Publishing and then send them a hilarious 2,300 word screed.

There's sooooo much to laugh at, so let's get started.

First of all, he takes a strike at yours truly and Schankula, without having the gonads to name us (yes, we are jealous of Rob...)
We realize that this is not the "fresh dialogue" about that project that you were looking for, but it is important that you understand that such postings by Mr. Morris are akin to the other ever-expanding blogs with libelous and slanderous statements that are being entered hourly on the Internet to harm others and attack everything from God to the Devil.

Failed businessman Dudley Webb responds

And it's raining excuses, so grab an umbrella before you read it.

As Rob Morris says, either Dudley happens to have the worst luck on earth, or he is a congenital liar.

Either way, the only thing we're sure of is that he is a failure.

Mr. Newberry, tear down this fence!

Just got word of a little impromptu activism/rabble rousing in downtown Lexington this afternoon at CenterPonde/TerrorLawn. Rob Morris (Lexington's best local blogger) snapped this pic:

More details (and video) when I get them...

Rob Morris eviscerates Dudley Webb

Probably the most thorough examination of the lies and fraud of Dudley Webb that you'll find on the internet.

Go read it. All.

And read Rob Morris everyday.

Hard Rock Canyon

As Rob Morris noted in his coverage of Dudley Webb's BSfest today, The Dud said that Hard Rock Cafe "strongly implied" interest in CentrePointe.

Well, since that isn't happening, here's an alternative, or "Plan B", that we could perhaps settle for:

Dudley Webb: Plan A, B, C and shut the hell up

Failed businessman Dudley Webb spoke today in front of the Lexington Forum to update them on his miserable snakeoil project of CentrePointe in the formerly lovely downtown Lexington. What did Dudley have to say? Just more bullshit piled upon bullshit, plus some words on getting his critics (i.e. Lexington citizens, Council, Herald-Leader and bloggers) to "shut the hell up".

First of all, he says he still thinks his mystery dead investor from a mystery country is going to pony up the mystery cash for the project.

Conversations with the man's family indicate they are aware of his commitment of $250 million to finance Webb's luxury hotel and condominium project on West Main Street in downtown Lexington, Webb said.

Rand Paul is all up in yur internets!

So... The Greatest American Hero Rand Paul made a "splash" last night on national TV on the Rachel Maddow Show, setting up his soon the be entertaining campaign for Senate here in Kentucky.

Oh, and he's got a website. Lexington uber-blogger Rob Morris sent along this screengrab:

As Rob noted to me, Rand's recruite-ing efforts seem downright "Dudley-esque", both in terms of donations and extra e's....

Also of note is this picture, which.... I'll let you make your own jokes, kids.

Here's the video Jake pulled of Rand on Maddow:

The UnTower Manifesto: Rob Morris lays the groundwork for life after CenterPointe

Over the past week, Rob Morris has gone, as the kids say, medieval on the Webb Corporation, the CentrePointe hole in the ground, and Mayor Jim Newberry.

Morris is president of Lowell's Automotive, one of Lexington's finest independent businesses, and in a series of posts starting one week ago he has addressed every truth and destroyed every lie about this ridiculous project.

And after that, he layed out clear ideas on how to rectify what has happened and how to move forward as a community from here.

In many ways, he has rendered my pledge to run through the myths and truths of the project entirely obsolete.
