Latest approval numbers find Bunning and McConnell below 50 percent

Fewer than half of the respondents to a new SurveyUSA poll approve of the jobs both of the Commonwealth's U.S. Senators are doing in Washington, D.C. The latest tracking poll from the firm - conducted between Nov. 21 and 24 - found U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Southgate) with an approval rating of 43 percent while U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) garnered 47 percent approval, just weeks after clinching re-election to a fifth term.

Guthrie’s lead grows to 10 points in newest public poll

State Sen. Brett Guthrie (R-Bowling Green) is leading state Sen. David Boswell (D-Sorgho) 53 to 43 percent according to the latest public polling of the 2nd Congressional District race from SurveyUSA, commissioned by WHAS-TV and Roll Call. Guthrie has increased his lead by one point in polling from that firm when compared to figures released 13 days ago, though Boswell's camp says the newest result is an outlier.

McConnell up 12 in latest SurveyUSA poll

U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) is maintaining a double-digit lead over his rival in Kentucky's Senate race, Bruce Lunsford (D-Louisville), according to a new poll from SurveyUSA.

A poll of 636 "likely voters" conducted from August 9 to August 11 shows McConnell with a 52 to 40 percent lead over Lunsford - a lead largely in line with other recent polls.
