Northup camp on new poll: ‘It’s about right’

The campaign of former U.S. Rep. Anne Northup (R-Louisville) contends its race in the 3rd Congressional District against incumbent U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Louisville) is closer than the latest public polling indicates.

A SurveyUSA poll released Monday showed Yarmuth with an eight point lead over Northup whom he defeated in 2006 to take the seat. That lead was narrower than a 10 point lead Yarmuth showed in July and a 17 point lead from June.

New campaign manager on board with Northup

Former U.S. Rep. Anne Northup (R-Louisville) is currently working with a new campaign manager in her effort to re-take the 3rd Congressional District seat currently held by U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Louisville).

Businessman Larry Hartog is presently on board with the Northup camp, assuming the role after Northup parted ways with her previous campaign manager Scott Will in early August.

Northup camp releases internal poll painting a brighter picture for her bid

John Yarmuth (D-Louisville) in the race for the 3rd Congressional District, the campaign of Anne Northup (R-Louisville) criticized those numbers and released results of an internal poll showing her trailing by only 7.3 percent.

Northup with $461k 1Q

The campaign of Anne Northup (R-Louisville) today announced it out-raised Northup's competition in her bid to regain the 3rd Congressional District seat she lost in 2006.

Northup will report $461,007 raised in the 1Q, with the campaign keeping $428,000 on-hand as of the March 31 deadline.

Northup camp focuses on fundraising

Ted Jackson, campaign chair for Republican Anne Northup, who is challenging Democratic incumbent John Yarmuth in Congressional District 3, says that the campaign is focusing on “the necessary parts of putting together a campaign.”

Jackson said that largely means fundraising ahead of the March 31 deadline.
