Town meetings in the news

As follows is a round-up of media coverage of annual town meetings.

Some of the highlights: In Farmington, voters hesitantly agreed to spending requests. Athens has agreed to staggered two year terms for their selectmen. Harpswell rejected a proposal that would have kept major developments 40-feet away from major roads. Pownal made its final transition into a fiscal year schedule. Palermo raised taxes.
