Pingree heads to DC to help unveil plan for Iraq

Democrat Chellie Pingree, who is running for U.S. Congress in District 1, is set join Washington Congressional District 8 congressional candidate Darcy Burner to unveil a plan outlining how Congress should deal with Iraq, Burner campaign spokesman Sandeep Kaushik said.

Pingree and Burner will present the plan in Washington, DC on Monday. They will be joined by fellow Democratic congressional candidates Donna Edwards of Maryland, Jared Polis of Colorado, and Eric Massa of New York.

Kaushik says the candidates are presenting the plan with an eye towards attracting grassroots support.
