Politicker photos and video: Protest over bottled water

On Wednesday a group of activists gathered in front of the Kennebunk District Water Trustees meeting to protest a proposed contract with Nestle Waters which would have allowed them to extract 432,000 gallons of water from their towns. Click here for more information.

The trustees postponed the issue until the end of July.

PolitickerME has not yet been able to reach officials from the water trustees office, however Superintendent Norm Labbe told the Portland Press Herald that they want to conduct an independent scientific review of the issue and also would like a chance for residents to give input.

"We want factual information not misinformation and hype," he told reporter Seth Harkness.
