GOP predicts Obama’s speech to be ‘long on style and short on substance’

The Maine Republican Party has released a statement in advance of Barack Obama’s big acceptance speech tonight.

Maine GOP Chairman Mark Ellis said:

“While Mainers struggle with high energy prices and worry about their jobs, Barack Obama stars tonight in a production fit for Hollywood. After days of trying to unify the Democratic Party behind Obama, who even Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton said wasn’t ready to lead, tonight’s spectacle will be long on style and short on substance. There’s no question Obama can deliver a flowery speech and draw big crowds, but the fact is he’s not ready to lead. While his acceptance speech may be at Mile High, expect it to be an inch deep.”
