Associated Builders and Contractors endorse Summers

CORRECTED: ABC is not a labor union, as previously reported

First Congressional District candidate Charlie Summers (R-Scarborough) was endorsed today by the Maine Associated Builders and Contractors.

In a release, Maine ABC President Kathleen Newman said: "Charlie gets it. We need to send a representative to our nation's capital who understands the importance of the jobs created by the construction industry. As a small business owner and former regional administrator for the Small Business Administration in New England, Summers knows the importance of a stable, predictable regulatory environment. He understands that for our economy to thrive and grow new jobs, business owners must be confident in their investments and trust they'll have the support of their government."
