On Friday, U.S. Sen. Susan Collins denounced these tactics at the request of the Maine Democratic Party, and called on the McCain campaign to stop the calls immediately.

On Fox, McCain was asked about Collins’ request.

Chris Wallace asked: “Republican Senator Susan Collins, the co-chair of your campaign in Maine, has asked you to stop the robocalls. Will you do that?”

“Of course not,” McCain responded.
