Pingree, Summers and Collins in high hopes

PORTLAND -- Parties are well underway in Portland for 1st Congressional District candidates Chellie Pingree and Charlie Summers, and U.S. Sen. Susan Collins.

A couple exits down 295, Democrats are gathering for U.S. Rep. Tom Allen, hoping that the national media organizations are dead wrong.

So far, only five percent of the precincts have been tallied, according to the Bangor Daily News.

CNN has called the race for Collins and U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud in the 2nd District.

Collins will not make an acceptance speech until Allen concedes.
