Duson elected Portland mayor

Jill Duson was elected tonight as the mayor of Portland in a unanimous vote by the City Council, the Portland Press Herald is reporting.

Duson served as mayor four years ago, and replaces Ed Suslovic. She is also an elector for president-elect Barack Obama, and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
