Dem AG nominee to be tapped today

Legislative Democrats will caucus this afternoon to pick their candidate for attorney general . They will choose between Reps. Sean Faircloth (D-Bangor), Janet Mills (D-Farmington) and John Brautigam (D-Falmouth).

Last week, MPBN reported that the Republicans are questioning Faircloth’s credentials, claiming he exaggerated his resume and took an active role in advocating for bills for which his wife was a paid lobbyist.

The GOP might nominate one of Faircloth’s opponents if the Democrats pick him as the candidate, MPBN reports.
