Five McCain surrogates speak to Maine, Vermont

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Maine delegation held a joint breakfast with the Vermont delegation Tuesday morning, where five surrogates for John McCain spoke.

Hardy: McCain can bring necessary government reforms

Politicker photo.|link=none|align=left|width=225|height=169]MINNEAPOLIS -- John McCain can bring about the necessary reforms to government through changes like earmark reform and public financing, said surrogate Dorcas Hardy at a breakfast for the Maine and Vermont delegations Tuesday.

Hardy is a former commissioner of Social Security and a current president of a government relations firm.

Republican National Convention: Day 2

The Maine delegation is holding a joint breakfast with the Vermont delegation this morning. Several surrogates for John McCain will speak, including:

  • Carly Fiorina, a senior McCain adviser
  • Andy McCain, John McCain’s brother
  • Ed Mechenbier, a former prisoner of war
  • Dorcas Hardy, the Commissioner of Social Security

The Convention starts later today, at 6:30.
