Boehner trip won't stop in MD-1

The Hill reports that House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) will be making stops in a total of 18 congressional districts in the Northeast and Midwest during the summer recess. And even though he's made numerous appearances in the region on behalf of Pennsylvania Republican candidates, his tour will not include Maryland's 1st.

Andy Harris' campaign believes it has to do with the Minority Leader not viewing the race as competitive. Is that a good or a bad thing when Frank Kratovil appears to be picking up steam?

Meanwhile, Chris Van Hollen takes a few shots at the Ohio Republican today over at Bloomberg.
